Prepare the Loaf:

  • Get your pre-risen dough from out of the refrigerator and take out a ball of dough.

  • Remove stems and chop herbs.

  • Flatten out a 1 inch thick circle of dough.

  • Sprinkle the flattened dough with cheese.

  • Mix in some herbs.

  • Roll the dough onto itself.

  • Roll the dough onto itself one more time.

  • Place the roll on the side.

  • Flatten it again into about an inch thick.

Repeat the Process:

  • Sprinkle the flattened dough with cheese and herbs.

  • Make sure the herbs are mixed throughout the added cheese.

  • Roll the dough onto itself.

  • Roll the dough onto itself one more time.

Form the Loaf:

  • Put the spiral on the side again and start to pull the ends inward and tuck the edges underneath.

  • You're creating a nice and tight boule.

  • Put any cheese and herb crumbs on the top of the loaf and place it onto a parchment paper lined cooking sheet.

Bake It!

  • Heat the oven to 450 °F °F and score the loaf when the oven temperature is ready.
    Bake for approximately 30 minutes until the loaf reaches the internal temperature of 190 °F °F.
