Tips:

  • Colder dough is easier to work with but may take longer to bake.
  • Save a tablespoon of the mix before adding water and use that when forming your dough on the countertop to help prevent sticking.
  • Want a stiffer dough? Use a little less water than the directions show. Try 1 1/4 cup of water instead! This helps for some easier shaping especially on the Traditional White blends.

Basic Instructions:

  1. Combine 1 Big Bag with 1 little bag and about 1.5 cups of lukewarm water.  The large bucket kits have 2 of each bag.  You can make the whole bucket by doubling the water to 3 cups.
  2. Mix the ingredients until there is nothing dry left. You can even use a stand mixer when you want to mix the ingredients.
  3. Get the soon to be dough back into the bucket and rest the lid on it (don’t reseal it). Let it sit in a room temperature location for about 2-3 hours. You are looking for the dough to double in size.
  4. For bread, give it a shape you like, you can even use a loaf pan; however, parchment paper lined cooking sheet works great too. If you bake 1 whole bag from the baking kit, use 450F at about 30 mins for a loaf of bread. You’re looking for an internal temp of 190F. For other recipe ideas, just follow the instructions.
  5. Any left over dough will last in a sealed bucket for about 2 weeks. Your bucket of dough is now a meal prep kit for baking!  Just grab handfuls at a time and turn the dough into whatever you’d like to make without the wait of it having to rise again!
