Star Wars Day
The unofficial holiday that celebrates the Star Wars franchise created by George Lucas. It is observed on May 4th each year, and the date was chosen because of a play on words: “May the Fourth” sounds similar to the famous Star Wars quote, “May the Force be with you.”
Star Wars Day has become a global celebration for fans of the franchise. Many people dress up in Star Wars costumes, hold movie marathons, and participate in other themed activities. A Lightsaber is a Fictional Weapon in the Star Wars Universe
Commonly used by Jedi Knights (the good guys), Sith Lords (the bad guys), and other characters. It consists of a cylindrical hilt that holds a plasma blade, which is emitted from the hilt when activated. The blade is typically about 3 feet in length, although some lightsabers can be shorter or longer.
The color of the lightsaber blade can vary, depending on the crystal used in the weapon’s construction. Jedi typically use blue or green lightsabers, while Sith lightsabers are usually red. Other colors, such as purple, yellow, and white, have also been used in the Star Wars universe.

Lightsaber Breadsticks
Ingredients
- 1 Bucket Bucket of Bread brand baking mix
- 1 Your favorite colors of spices, rubs, frostings, or sprinkles. See the color meanings!
Instructions
- Grab a handful of your already prepared favorite Bucket of Bread brand dough and roll it out into a long rope while the oven preheats to 450℉.
- Make it about half the length longer than your sheet pan/cooking sheet.
- Fold one end back so that the length of the rope fits in side the pan.
- Take the shorter end and start to wrap it around itself.
- Keep going until it appears as a nice handle for your lightsaber.
- Season your sticks with dry rubs with various colors. Here's a reddish toned meat rub!
- Look at the green pizza seasonings!
- Bake at 450℉ for about 15-20 mins until almost crunchy. Bake longer if you don't want the soft breadstick. Either way, just keep an eye on these as they tend to be done pretty quick.
- If you want to use sprinkles take a traditional simple syrup. (Boil up one part water to one part sugar and let cool (1:1)) and brush it onto the sticks.
- Add your sprinkle decorations as desired (you don't have to stick to the colors listed above). Be as creative as you want.
